Thanksgiving is a time for family, friends, and of course, food! And what Thanksgiving feast would be complete without a sweet potato casserole? This classic dish is always a crowd-pleaser, and it's surprisingly easy to make.
But if you're looking for a recipe that's a little bit different, this sweet potato casserole with pecan streusel topping is the perfect option. It's still got all the flavors you love, but with a rebel twist.

For the sweet potato filling:

- 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar

Tips:
For a richer flavor, use dark brown sugar instead of light brown sugar.
If you don't have evaporated milk, you can substitute with half-and-half or whole milk.
For a more decadent topping, drizzle with melted caramel or chocolate sauce before serving.
Additional notes:
This recipe is a great way to use up any leftover sweet potatoes. You can also make the filling ahead of time and store it in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours. When you're ready to bake the casserole, just let the filling come to room temperature before assembling and baking.
